Verge Maintenance Update – INFO FOR DERBY RESIDENTS!

With the recent rains following the wet season, grass growth in and around the Derby townsite has been rapid and we understand the concerns regarding these areas. Our Shire works crew is actively working to manage this, starting with key public areas like the main street, oval and parks to ensure they remain safe and enjoyable for everyone. Rest assured the team are working hard!

Once these areas are addressed, the team will focus on locations that present safety concerns, such as street corners, before moving on to other verge areas across town. Recent staff shortages and weather conditions have caused some delays, but we’re committed to working through these areas as quickly as possible.
