The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is guided by legislation and planning schemes that control the development and use of land across the Shire.
Draft Local Planning Scheme No. 9 is a proposed new document that aims to guide future development within the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.
It comprises of the Scheme Text and Scheme Maps. The Scheme Maps identify different zones for particular uses and should be read in conjunction with the Scheme Text.
The Draft Local Planning Scheme No. 9 was presented to the Minister for Planning and has now been approved for advertising for a period of 120 days.
