We regret to advise that the upcoming Kimberley Art Prize has been postponed and will not proceed to open as scheduled on 4 July 2020.
This difficult decision follows the advice of the Australian Government in response to the developing COVID-19 outbreak.
While the outcome is deeply disappointing for all involved, the health and safety of visitors, artists and staff, as well as the broader community, is our first priority.
2020 is the 50th anniversary of the Kimberley Art Prize. As such, we intend to reschedule the Kimberley Art Prize to a later date in 2020. We will be working closely with our partners in the coming days and months to make this happen.
Further details will be provided as soon as possible. Should you have any immediate concerns, we ask you to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance.
The recent developments will have a significant impact on the Shire and our community.
While we work through the current uncertainty, one thing we can be certain of is that the arts and tourism industry will play an important role in bringing our community together once this immediate risk has passed.
